tire suggestion for 2003 Civic LX Sport
I am looking at a 2003 civic LX sport and see that they come with Firestone
tires. They are 195 65R 15 (I think).
Does anyone have suggestions on a better tire? I had firestones on my Focus
and they weren't all that bad.
Has anyone had success getting the dealer to swap tires on a new car? The
local dealer that I spoke with said that I should "go down the road" and
talk to a tire dealer. It would be cheaper than getting their service dept
to swap tires.
I am looking for suggestions on tires to leave on all season. I live in
south western ontario (we get lots of snow in winter) so I am looking for a
general all season tire.
thanks

Use your existing tires and rims for the summer & fall and get yourself a
set of good winter tires on a set of steel wheels for the winter. Your
aluminum rims will stay nicer, longer and your tires will last twice as
long.
My wife used to go to school London, Ont. & with the amount of snow down
that way, snow tires are highly recommended, the degree of safety they
provide is priceless.

Dunlop SP A2, but having two dedicated sets of tires would be more than
justified where you live, in my opinion. All-season is really "no-season",
meaning these tires are OK but not great in any season.
