tec distributors
I need to know what other cars have an the tec distributor that goes in a 96
honda accord lx f22b2 engine. I need to know after you take off the cap,and
rotor how do you take off that metal plate that has 3screws on it. Ofcoarse
I took out the three screws but I could not get that plate to budge. I
believe the internal coil is behind there looks like a little black box. I
ook out the icm and still could not get to it. My haynes manual does not
have the tec distributor in it so i need to know what other cars have that
distributor and ill find a manual on them.

Re: tec distributors
amsjsj,
It seems you are doing quite a few upgrades to your car. You mentioned
in another post that the Haynes manual didn't have the info you were
looking for. I would recommend that you spring for the factory
authorized service manual from http://www.helminc.com. It doesn't come
cheap, but it is the best $60 - $70 you can possibly spend.
I have never done a single repair to my '94 Civic, but have added a few
comfort and convenience accessories. The complete and comprehensive
wiring diagrams alone makes the Helm manual worth the price.
