Reliability Of Factory Sunroof
I am thinking of purchasing a 2003 Accord but do not know if I want
the sunroof. I am concerned about the reliability of the motor that
opens and closes the window as well as how well the weather stripping
will put up with the winters in Toronto.
Has anyone had a motor fail or the stripping go and no has leaks
coming through the sunroof? Any recommendations?
TIA

The roof on my 92 Civic has had no problems. Hondas may not be flashy
and exciting, but Honda does get the details right more often than
anyone else.

The moon roof on my '94 Civic has never given me any problems. For cold
climates you can ruin the motor if you try operating the sun/moon roof
when it is frozen shut. Silicone spray on the weather stripping will
prevent it frezing shut.
