Spare me your sympathies for big corporations. I bet they love suckups
like you. You obviously do not know the difference between Copyright
and Trademark. The over zealous nature of these companies will
eventually get them in the end. I know BMW and VAG are too big to go
out of business but I hope they feel the hurt of losing money thanks
to their overly agressive protection schemes.

Oh it is a fact that they have and it' only certain companies that are
very agressive and all of them German or German owned. Funny that.
Most car companies are not scared of people chatting up their older
models. VAG is the most agressive and destructive BMW after killing
all teh older Mini sites as best they could is now going to shut down
New MINI sites as well. All these companies need is the swastikas they
originally had.
Thank God most of the American and Japanese companies aren't a bunch
of paranoid Jackels waiting to devour their own enthusiasts. But that
never stopped them from shooting themselves in the head before.
Germans are notably arrogrant and German companies even more so.

Here in the UK, Ferrari have told some of it's own (official) owner's club
sites to cease using it's logo.
http://www.wessex-foc.co.uk/
Of course they have the right to do that, but I can tell you that it
most definitely upsets their customers. The guy who runs Wessex
Ferrari has several Ferraris, and the members of this local group have
between them probably at least 60 cars, which is not an inconsiderable
number in Ferrari terms (they sell only 4000 cars a year).

What is it about people like you who, when they get agitated about somebody
or something which has German connections they have to introduce Mr Hitler
or his party?
It's a bit like swearing; it suggests you are on weak ground.

This from the auto groups biggest troll. How interesting that you
should side with the fat cat corporations over fan websites.
No one said their trademark should not be recognized. But they are too
agressive in stopping fan websites who are not making a profit doing
this but offer information to other enthusiasts. Eventually the
Supreme Court will have to rule on this and I believe it will come out
that they are preventing Freedom of Speech.
You are the one whop is black and white here. Not I.
They are allowed their trademark but Trade Mark laws and Copyright
laws are different.
