Re: Best wax for Accord
I found that for shine you can't beat a wax that has Carnauba. Its one of
the toughest waxes in the market. Meguires Gold Class, Mothers Carnauba are
all very good.
It gives you the highest gloss and it doesn't cost an arm and leg like Zaino
bros.
Nu Finish is a highly rated polish. I found the shine is not as brilliant,
but since it contains no waxes (polymers) it will last longer if you don't
like to wax as often.
If you have the time always use a precleaner to prepare the surface before
you wax. Otherwise waterspots and stains will be trapped under the wax,
have fun

Re: Best wax for Accord
You shouldn't only rely on just using wax to maintain the shine of
your car. It's a three way process, espcecially using Meguiar
products (have used them for the past 8 yrs).
1st step: after washing the car, you have to CLEAN your paint. Use
Meguiar's Paint Cleaner.
2nd step: Next, apply Meguiar's Polish. Polish will provide the
shining integrity for your paint. Imagine it as body lotion on your
skin.
3rd step: Apply Meguiar's Wax (I use the Gold Class); Wax is more
like your sunblock to your skin.
Follow off the work by using the Quik Detailer, and you'll be amazed
to the quality as oppose to just using wax only on contaminated paint.
Even Meguiar's website tells you the three steps to take.
I'd thought I would share this w/ ya....FYI!

Today, I just used the Meguiares 3 step process on my Wife's 97 Civic.
All I can say is that I am glad I invested in an orbital buffer, because
that would have been a lot of rubbing to do by hand. I will tell you
this, it brought her dull and faded paint job back to life!
