Driver's window stopped halfway up, now won't move up or down. All the
other windows work. Fuses are good. I hear a click when I move the switch
up or down, so I think the switch is ok. Seems it is either the motor or
the power window control black box. How can I tell which one is likely
culprit? Can I switch motors with another window?

I don't have the book anymore, but there is a way to jump wire past the
black box to locate the problem. See if a junk yard has one you can try
in their parking lot to be sure it's what you need. bob

I looked in my Chilton's Accord/Prelude repair manual. I had trouble
finding a window w/d for Accords but I found a 91 Prelude w/d.
Remove the inside paneling from the door. Locate the plug where the
motor plugs in and unplug the motor. Get a two conductor wire, such as
speaker wire, long enough to go from the battery to the door motor.
Look at the plug and locate the red/blue and the red/yellow wires.
Carefully twist a wire on to the two stabs**. Make sure there is no
strands shorting out. Have someone touch the other ends to the battery
terminals and see if the motor runs. Reverse the wires at the battery
and see if the motor goes the other way. If the motor works it's
OK.and the problem is with the Control unit, a switch or a wire.
driver's window is different than the other windows because it goes
down if you press hard on the switch, that is what the control unit
and a relay in the motor are for. Driver's door has 4 wires and other
windows only 2 wires.
** I assume the motor is the male half of the plug.
Be careful not to touch the bypass wires to the blue and black wires
or you will melt something.

It's probably a defective motor. I advise you to look in the yellow pages
under auto junk yards and call them to see if they can sell you what you
need. Some of them are on a computer network and can order you what you
need even if they don't have the type of car you need on their lot. A
Honda dealer would charge you about twice as much for a motor.
