I'm no mechanic, but I guess my '92 Teg's PCV valve was NEVER replaced. (?)
I tried my best without breaking it to remove it on my own, but went ahead &
had a mechanic do it with an oil change. He said he finally got it out----in
pieces. Is this common, or just a real old PCV valve? This was yesterday.
Pissed me off cuz I got home & put an oil additive in ("Gunk" oil
treatment---I know--flame on--it doesn't do diddly, right? Oh well. Paid 99
cents for the bottle, & I haven't used an oil treatment in 10k miles or so),
& I noticed the long hose (I don't know which one--the one going across the
head, attached, & going....somewhere....) was still dangling, so I
reattached that, & added the "Gunk" stuff. Then I took a look at the new PCV
valve, & noticed it was barely hanging onto the combustion chamber (?--
where it connects to engine), & I could easily take it out. The connection
to the intake/throttle body hose was fine. The guy at the shop (*cough,
cough--Firestone*----I had a free oil change coupon) mentioned that I should
go to the Honda/Acura dealer to get a new grommet. Is this Firestone's
fault? Should they be paying for this, since they broke it? Thanx for any
info. I'm sure the grommet's only a few bucks, right? Hello AutoZone?

The dorman part number you're lookin for (according to their website
www.motormite.com) is 42346. Dorman says it covers Honda/Acura 1988-2003.
Doubt your local AZ will have it in stock tho, but even them ordering it
will save you $$ over the stealership.

Unsure of your exact app, but the PVC grommet for my Accord is listed at
Majestic's website for $1.69.

You _really_ think you'll find it cheaper/better elsewhere?

Do they ship for free?
One can find some very good prices on the net, but if you are buying small
inexpensive items, S&H can greatly increase the cost. It's usually best to
place a larger order to save. Buy some extra things like filters etc. to
make it worthwhile.
For 1 grommet, it's probably much cheaper to purchase it locally.
