We all know Maaco is bad, but found a interesting review from this guy

Yes I had my car repainted by maaco. The guy told me it didn't matter which
paint job i got (the cheapest, or the most expensive) as it would be the
same guy doing it, and he would be getting paid just the same, so it would
get the same paint job.
The paint started chipping off in about 6 months.

Your problem is the prep work.
$299-$899 doesn't buy you much these days.

Al's right about the "prep" work, which is a make-or-break item. Other
than that, there is an "epoxy" paint additive (that Honda uses in its Acura
line) that runs about $200/gal (you only need about a quart I believe) that
increases the durability and shine of ordinary paint several fold. Always
ask if the paint shop is using such an additive.

Yep.. Spend the required time to properly prep the car and either Maaco
or Schieb paint will last quite awhile...
