Installing Remote Car Starter 2000 Accord LX?
Has anyone Installed a remote car started on a 2000 honda accord LX.
Someone told me that the key has a chip in it. and the only way for the car
started to work is to get a "little box" that you can put your spare key in
where a current can go through and the car start.
does anyone have any experience doing this or know anything about it?
does anynoe know if the Key even has a chip in it?
Any Information would be greatly appreicated.
thanks

You need an extra key with the chip programmed used to fool the vehicle
into thinking the key is in ignition. Also if it has a factory alarm you
need to bypass unlocking the doors just before remote starting and then
relocking afterwards. Very simple.
