Indicator arm snapped off.
Hi there,
Friday night, turn the lights on and, as I go to use the indicators,
the damned indicator arm just went loose and had apparently broken
away from its unit. I was pleased I didn't have to adjust the lights
off full-beam. As it was, when I got home, I had to use a screwdriver
to turn the lights off. These things have a habit of occuring at
night. Grrrr....
It's a right-hand drive 1990 Honda Accord. I looked in the
new-purchaser handbook and it appears that the left and right-hand
drive models are identical but, reversed.
What I'm wondering was if anyone has had a similar problem and how
they went about fixing the thing? The lights and indicators are all
operated through the one 'stalk'.
At this stage, it looks like it is going to be a major hassle. Ain't
that always the case, with these "throw-away" vehicles?!
Any insight or thoughts on this irritating problem would be
appreciated.

So go to a wreaker and buy a used switch assembly. Its not hard to replace,
but you do have to take the steering wheel off to do it. Or just get the
part and have your garage do it.
