I agree with your opinion that the "cold" is the main cause of the problem
since the problem only happens when it's real cold. I seem to recall
reading a recent post about at least one product that you can mix with the
gas that might solve your problem. If no one will post the exact name of
the product, I suggest that you visit an auto parts store and talk to the
manager. He or she should be able to sell you what you need to solve the
problem. I also advise you to change out the fuel filter. At least one
person recently said that when he changed the fuel filter--his cold
weather problems went away. It turns out that water can get trapped in the
filter causing all sorts of problems during cold weather.

Re: Idle Jumps Up and Down 92 Accord
Thanks for the tip.
One thing I forgot to mention is that this only happens when the car's
been driven for a while. So it is warmend up when it happens. I pull
in to the driveway and put the care in park and it starts fluctuating.
Doesn't do it all the time though. As for the fuel filters they were
changed 10k miles ago.

Re: Idle Jumps Up and Down 92 Accord
More than likely, it is your fast idle valve. It also could be a vacuum
leak, too high idle speed, or perhaps a throttle cable that is too tight.
