Honda CRV-EX (CPO): Clicking in steering column
Just picked up my "new" Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) 2003 Honda CRV-EX w/
about 21000 mi. Every time I brake, I hear a clicking sound in the
steering column. Kind of hard to pinpoint exactly... just behind the
steering wheel, in the steering wheel? Spoke to a Honda mechanic who
thinks it might be coming from the cruise-control switch (but I don't
have it on when it happens). He didn't seem troubled by it and claims
others have complained about it too. It's more of a nuisance, but
I'll keep monitoring. Oh, BTW, I've seen other postings here saying
it only happens when cold. I get it all the time. Anybody else?

Turn the stereo louder. :-)
It's the interlock solonoid that prevents you shifting out of PARK
without touching the brakes.
