And maybe, the politicians would have a bigger paycheque (this being much
more likely than, us getting taxed less).

politicians will always have a bigger paycheck, that's one thing here
in the states all politicians always agree on, but if you cut some
unneeded pork from government spending your taxes will go down, and if
not then you need to elect politicians that will cut your taxes,
remember its your money and they work for you,, not the other way
around im pretty sure the Canadian government can start cutting pork
spending by cutting funding for every immigrant that comes into your
great country with their hand out asking for free housing and free
medical care,, even though they just got there and didnt pay a dime in
Canadian taxes, maybe then your gas prices would start to come down

Well, I was born here, but, my great grandparents came from Europe. So, I
have to say that I don't have a problem with us allowing people to immigrate
to our country. And, it's only right that they have their health taken care
of, to prevent them ing any diseases to the rest of the population.
Gas prices will come down when we manage to put a curb on the greed of the
owners and shareholders. That is the only thing that continues to keep the
price of gas as high as it remains.
