fuel economy
1998 accord ex ,v6. i’m getting 22mpg with a mix of city-hwy travel
does this sound about right? what would this be with a 4cyl car? the
car all checks out in good working order.I drive very conservitable.
this is my first small car i’m used to guzzeling trucks. should these
cars make more?

there's a ton of things to check. ignition system, air filter,
brakes... even the coolant temp sensor can have a calibration problem
and need replacement... without more info, we're in the dark - what
have you checked so far?

brakes... even the coolant temp sensor can have a calibration problem
and need replacement... without more info, we're in the dark - what
have you checked so far?

According to www.fueleconomy.gov the EPA estimate for the 98 accord V6
is 18 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, 21 mpg combination. For the 4
cylinder version: 20 city, 27 highway, 23 combined.
It sounds like it is getting pretty much what it should.

actuaaly i checked everything, i was a machanic for years (in the 70’s
& 80’s) i had the car put on a analyser and all systems cleared after
2 new oxygen sensors,no hot break’s, i was recently told the v.tec
with the 4sp auto wasn’t that great on mileage but i would still
apreciate your input( oh yes, the trans also check’s out,

thanks, as i said its my first small car i was hopein for more. well
