Re: e mails
Most people posting in newsgroups deliberately use invalid return
addresses. This is because spamers have been known to lift e-mail
addresses from newsgroup posts.
Also, what makes usenet work is the sharing of information. If you have
something to contribute, please post it in the newsgroup for everyone to
enjoy.
And yes, the reply-to address in my post is made up.

I completely agree with you. I've only posted on newsgroups with my real
email address a couple of times at the most, yet I'm enjoying hundreds
of spams per day.
Of course there have been other reasons as well, but after the
accidental posts on the newsgroups my spam problem doubled.
