Driver's window goes up too far - 91 Accord
The driver's power window goes up too far and it pushes out over the rubber
seal at the top.
I'm sure something has misaligned or worn out in the track/regulator.
Anyone else experienced this behavior? What is the fix?
Thanks,

Regulator problem, according to my mechanic (same thing on our '93
Accord). Haven't had it replaced yet, but will in the next month or so. Of
course, stuff like this always happens in the MOST inconvenient season...

So, according to your mechanic, it's not repairable? It must be replaced?
Thanks,
Dave

It doesn't show any window regulators for this year car.
Anyone know if the power window regulators are repairable on this year
Accord?
Thanks,

Thanks. (I was looking for "Regulator" in the drop down list.)
On this page:
catcgry1=Accord&catcgry2=1991&catcgry3=4DR+LX&catc gry4=KL4AT&catcgry5=FRONT+DO
OR+GLASS>
Do you know what the difference between these two is:
> 99036 002 1 REGULATOR, R. FR. NO COLOR 68.88 51.66
> 99037 002 1 REGULATOR, R. FR. NO COLOR 68.88 51.66
Just one digit difference in product code, but description is the same. How
different are these two?
Thanks,

AFAIK there are stopper plates which uhh, stop the window from going too
far up. If the window is running true in its channels, it could be just
the stopper plate(s) which has come loose. It's aalso not unusual for the
glass to go loose on its mounting studs where it's fixed to the regulator
bar - IME that can often be detected by a churning sound from the window as
it gets wound down and especially up and the window doesn't run exactly
true. Left too long, (yup I did that :-)) the glass will eventually come
off the bar and get stuck down.
