CRV pulls to right
Hi,
I hope someone can help me here. I have a new 2003 CRV-LX 5sp. The steering
wheel has to be turned slightly to the left to go straight, not just on a
high crowned road, but on any surface. It drives to the right on the road if
I let go of the wheel, when I accelerate from a stop, or with heavy
breaking. I had it into the dealer at 2500 miles and they said it was
slightly out of spec. and did a 4 wheel alighnment on it and it still goes
to the right. it has 3000 miles on it now and I've had it for 2 months.
Has anyone had a similar problem? I live 75 miles from the nearest dealer
and can't be running back and forth all the time. I know there is a service
bulletin about this but my car is outside the VIN range and not an
automatic. I wanted to hear some other opinions before I take it back again,
which means taking off of work 2 hours early and having someone follow me to
the dealer and take me back the next day.
Does Honda have a consumer help dept.? I sold my worn out Subaru and got
this because I heard that they were trouble free.
Thanks for any advice.

Re: CRV pulls to right
I had this on my 2002 CRV. Dealer did alignment and then had me go for
a ride (about 10 miles) with service technician in the car to make
sure it was adjusted to my satisfaction before leaving the dealership.

Re: CRV pulls to right
I have the same problem on 2003 CRV EX with 8k miles on it.
The steering wheel is misaligned and needs to be a little to the left for
the car to go straight. Otherwise the car doesn't pull to one side like it
would have a twisted frame. For me this is more of an annoyance than a
problem.
I'll have the dealer take a look at it when I take it for the 10k
maintenance.

Your vehicle is under warranty--take advantage of it. Take it to the
dealer and tell them the problem. They will fix it for free. Don't try to
fix it yourself.
