clicking noise on 2001 honda civic
I have a 2001 honda civic se. it has developed a popping/ clicking
noise when accelerating in second gear and turning right. two
independent mechanics have looked at the car and seem to think it
could be the cv jointbut are unsure. one says it could be a damaged
tooth in the gearbox in second. has anyone had a similar problem?
any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
cheers

Re: clicking noise on 2001 honda civic
sounds like a cv joint. are you a moderate driver, spirited, or very timid?
Do you suspect that it could be the transmission/gearbox? is it manual
shift? has this just started? was there an event that began with this
noise?
$0.02
