Civic Nation
No wonder Honda is losing sales. I would never consider buying a Civic
for a compact car now. The reason for this is that Honda has clearly
pointed out via stupidest campaign ever (Civic Nation) that now that if
you buy a civic you are now on the same level as these street racing
kids that spend far too much money/time doing stupid things to their
cars. If I buy a civic now I have to worry that these little -****
kids are now going to steal my car and put a tomato-can muffler on it.
Thank-you Honda for making my decision clear that I should NOT buy a
civic. I don't care what kind of quality is built into it. Mitsubishi
is now doing the same thing with the Lancer. Note how Mitsubishi is on
the verge of bankruptcy.

Re: Civic Nation
personally i think that honda is losing their customers because they are
trying to appeal to the younger generation... the kid will put money down
and not be able to make payments so they repo the car which probably costs
them more than the car payment...

*shrugs* in the Autobiz it's all about the younger customers. They want to
hook you young so you're hooked to their make for life. Toyota's average
customer's age was floatin around 50-60 as of a few years ago, and that was
a bad place to be as far as growth. So they launched that Scion thingy to
grab younger customers.
Honda's probably in the same shoes, they don't want their customers aging
till they die and there simply isn't anybody left to buy their cars
(Lincoln's minus the big SUVs, Oldsmobile, Cadillac etc.).
I personally never pay attention to many of the ads anyway, but that's just
me. Though, the Hybrid ad campaign was pretty cool and that one Accord ad
from England ("Cog") that was floating around the internet was really cool.

This is why I hate modders. I hate tomato can muffers, huge sheet
metal spoilers, and wheels that are wildy outside of original size.
I suspect it's because they have a small *****.

And they pay thousands on insurance as well, IF they can find a
company that will insure modded cars, that is.
In fact, I was watching Tuner Performance TV show and they spent
$10,000 to a neon to shave off, get this, 0.4 secs from the 0-60
time! 0.4 seconds! Who spends $10,000 on parts and all for 0.4
sec and no insurance? Stupid kids...

I doubt the car is even worth that much. They shoulda' just traded it
off for a faster car. "But it's fun" they say. Right. It takes a
whole year working at McDonalds to pay for that.
