Autolock after head unit install screwed up.
I installed a Sony head unit into a 99 Civic. I used a harness adapter
to avoid any splicing. Once complete, the unit worked fine.
The unit beeps when you shut off the car to remind you to remove the
face plate. I soon noticed that if you do not remove the face plate, the
remote doorlock system will not unlock the doors anymore. It will lock
the doors, just not unlock. Also, when you trigger the remote, the face
plate alarm sounds each time. (So long as the face plate is on)
Anyone have any ideas here ?

Just for kicks, remove fuse number 30 from the under-dash fuse box. Test
the system again and report back to the news group with your findings.
