Another tire question
Is there any concern as far as ABS,electronics, etc. for using smaller
tires(winter).
I have a perfect set from my previous vehicle, size 195/55/15 and my new car
is equipped with 205/55/16 with 195/65/15 as a substitute ( as per Honda
spec).
I know about speedometer showing not corect speed.
Any thoughts?

Irena,
From here, we can't tell what your vehicle is. If it has Honda RealTime
AWD, you can use four tires of the same size, but your spare should also
be the same size (unless you're just going a few miles).

From here, we can't tell what your vehicle is. If it has Honda RealTime
AWD, you can use four tires of the same size, but your spare should also
be the same size (unless you're just going a few miles).

That will be almost 6% smaller in diameter compared to your stock tire size.
General rule of thumb is that you should remain within 3% when changing
tire/rim sizes, but I don't know if it'll affect your ABS all that
significantly. One other point: I'm not sure how stringent the insurance
companies are in your country, but if they notice that you had the wrong
size tires at the time you crashed, they may deny coverage. Same goes for
warranty claims related to ABS, brakes, suspension, etc. Personally, I
would sell the tires you have and purchase the correct size.

Last time I was in the tire market, my dealer only had a set of 205's
for my '92 Accord LX instead of the 195's it should take. I bought them,
and found it only had a small effect on the odometer. This is an old
technology car, without ABS and it has drum brakes on the rear. Stuff I
can fix if it breaks.
Don't know what I'd buy if this one can't be driven any longer. bob
