difference? i was told u can hear the difference, i dont wanna get a new
exhaust sysetm n stuff cos that costs heaps, just the air filter, about $150
isnt it?

systems but according to the book that I mentioned--you can get a "7 to 8
percent increase in horsepower". I doubt if that is enough for most people
to invest $150-$200 in a unique air filter system. If you really want to
increase the horsepower--you need to install a supercharger system or
turbo charger system. The book discusses all of these issues.

goto ebay and look up a AEM cold air intake for your 98 civic, its about
that price range and as i said before, it will give you a few more hp and
you will be able to hear it. On a side note, if you do get a cold air
intake, be sure to get an air bypass valve also, so you dont suck water into
your engine some rainy day =)

Do they not build cold air intakes with inertial separators to prevent that
