Hi all

I have a weird (minor) problem with my passenger side power
window. My car is an RSX (BTW) and is less then 7 months old
(brand new).

I had to open the door panel to do some work in there this
weekend and this morning, I notice a slight problem while closing
the passenger window. By the way, I never touched the PW motor
while I was "in there".

The problem is that when I try to close the passenger window and
it is about 2 inches from the top, the side closest to the mirror
(front) seems to "stick" to the felt track for a very small
moment while the rear part the widows does not. So it looks like
the front is 1/4 inch lower then the back for a split second.

I check for some kind of obstructions, but there is nothing. This
last litterally a millisecond, and then the window closes without
problem. The fit is tight. Anyone elses has that and knows what I
can do to solve it.

Do you think I can solve this by spraying some lub on the front
track (which is kinda like black felt). Any advice for me? And
what kind of lub do you think?

Spray some silicone right in the track should help. Don't use other
type, might be bad for rubber. And never use WD-40 as lube.

I had to tear the whole door apart to fix my window a few days ago. I
posted about it earlier.

Spray some silicone right in the track should help. Don't use other
type, might be bad for rubber. And never use WD-40 as lube.

I had a similar problem with my driver window on my RSX.
I asked for it to be looked into while getting an oil change, the dealer
told me that the tracks are not very well lubricated coming from the factory
and it was lubricated, no problems since, so I hope the silicon spray will
solve your problem.
BTW. there are two different types of silicone sprays, if not more, try the
dry one, it just leaves a very thin layer of oil behind but it dries nicely.
You should be able to get it from Canadian Tire if you are in Canada.
