Adding a '95 Civic EX gauge cluster w/Tach....
to a '94 Civic DX w/o tach.
Does anyone know if the '95 gauges clusters are a direct swap to a
'94? If so, is a '94 Civic DX w/o tach likely to be pre-wired for a
tach the way most other accessories are?
thanks

Re: Adding a '95 Civic EX gauge cluster w/Tach....
All the connectors to the gauge cluster are identical with or without
the tachometer. The lead for the tachometer signal is blue, and is on
connector B pin 8. Connector B is on the far left side (looking from the
cabin side) of the gauge cluster. Don't know if that wire is present on
cars without a tach, but would be very surprised if it isn't.
There are some very minor differences in the '94 and '95 cluster
housing, but I believe this is an issue only if you try to use the '94
plexiglas cover on a '95 gauge cluster (or vice versa).
