Accord 91 Ex - "S" light on the dash
Hi group,
The "S" light on the dash panel comes on green in my 91 Accord EX car.
I looked into the Chilton's manual but no mention of that anywhere. I assume
it is engine service light ?
Please help.
Btw, I just got oil changed, coolant changed, timing belt does need to
changed now according the mechanic who saw my car.
TIA

Re: Accord 91 Ex - "S" light on the dash
S-light on the automatic transmission designates that the transmission is in
"sport" shift mode. Basically the tranny shifts at higher RPMs than when
not on for better performance. When the light is off, the tansmission
electronics will shift at lower RPMs for better fuel economy.
This can be turned off and on by the button on the gear shift selector.
