Accord 15,000 mile Failed Transmission Continues

Accord 15,000 mile Failed Transmission Continues
Hi,
I am the guy, you may recall, who had the 1999 Honda Accord V6
with a failed transmission at 15,000 miles. Well, the saga continues.
Honda of America did pay for the transmission and half the labor.
We ended up paying only $482 out of an original almost $4,000
estimate.
First day we have the car back the ignition key locks up and
cannot be removed from the ignition. Back to the dealer, only
to find out they did not adjust the linkage correctly.
A few days later we see red transmission fluid dripping all over
the garage floor. Back to the dealer, only to find out they did
not tighten two bolts.
Now we are wonder what will be the next problem?
It makes you wonder if the dealerships ever heard of Quality Control?
Are they under that much pressure to speed through their work and
not carefully check their repairs? Do they road test cars, after
repairs?
The dealer is Ed Voyles Honda in Marietta, Georgia. Originally, I
was not going to post the dealer's name but now it is a case of
people needing to know what is going on.
Maybe Ford does have a Better Idea?

I am 99% sure the dudes that work on
your vehicle are paid by the job, as a percentage
of the bill, not by the hour. Thus, the more jobs
they rush through,the more money they make.
This is what a guy I met that worked at a dealership
told me.

I was told by the local sales geek that the issues were fixed in the '03
model. Looks like I am rethinking this purchase.

We should really have an in depth discussion of the 'flat rate' pay
system that most all mechanics use.
Back in my days, ('73-'85) the mechanics were expected to turn a
minimum of 10.5 hours in an eight hour day. Those that didn't weren't
around long. ole bob
