Get your facts together and let us know. F10 is a 15 amp fuse, F11 is a 10
amp fuse. They both go to the gage panel and many other places. If they have
a 20 amp it is the wrong size. Possible a previous owner put a larger fuse
because it was blowing...

If you have a non-original stereo in the dash, the (unused) wire for the
backlighting may be flopping around and shorting to ground.

so, the short will be before the dimmer (or at the dimmer) rather than in
the lights themselves. Note that I'm assuming the dimmer is in the 12V side
of the lamps instead of the ground side.
