99 HONDA ACCORD DASHBOARD LIGHT PROBLEM
I accidentally shorted the 'illumination' wire coming from the radio harness
when i was putting in a stereo. I've checked, no fuses are blown in either
of the 3 fuse boxes. The warning lights come on.. and the illumation wire
still works. I turn my headlights on and the radio's lights come on like
they're supposed to.
did i blow a bulb, a set of bulbs?? I'm at a loss. is it just one bulb
that lights up the entire dash or what?

Re: 99 HONDA ACCORD DASHBOARD LIGHT PROBLEM
I do not have the wiring diagram for the '99 Accord, but is it possible
that you damaged the dash light brightness controller? It seems from
your description that every light works, except those that have their
brightens controlled by the dash light brightness controller.

Re: 99 HONDA ACCORD DASHBOARD LIGHT PROBLEM
When it did short, the 'pop' sounded like it came from the upper part of the
dash. So I wasn't sure if I blew a bulb, blew some hidden fuse, or destroy
the dimmer control..
should i just get the dealer to install me a new one, or can anyone do it
efficiently.. w/o tearing up the plastic..
