being certified the dealer has to have the code. it's listed on the
cert papaers you were supposed to be given. as for them looking it
up. it's a myth that the vin number is helpful. you need the serial
number off the radio itself. what year and model is it? there are
some tricks to this.

Included with Hondas with the Owners Manual is a white plastic card (credit
card sized) that has the number. Since it appears you don't have it, the
radio will have to be removed to access the serial number on the backside.
The original selling dealer often keeps this info too as a matter of
customer service. Go to the dealer where you bought the car and ask them
for the help you need.
