94 Honda Civic -- a/c diagnosis?
I would love your input on my recent A/C problem.
All was fine and dandy, then the a/c started blowing warm
occassionally. I would turn it off and on again and it would kick back
up. But then it just went out completely: no cold air although the fan
still blows air into the car. When I do try to run the a/c, a loud
screeching noise occurs, and it gets louder when I accelerate.
If anyone wanted to try to diagnose this, I would surely appreciate
it!! I am rather naively hoping that it's a belt and not a costly
repair.
Cheers!

With the a/c running, grab one of the hoses and give it a squeeze. You
may be low on refrigerant. bob

Thanks! I'll give it a squeeze and we'll see!
