'91 Accord Fan Problem
I have a 91 Accord le 4cyl auto with the fan running (cooling not a/c) after
engine is off. The fan will run until the engine is cold (ie temp gauge in
vehicle reading cold) . This usually happens during the spring & fall. It
does not happen as often during the winter & summer. When outside temps are
50's --30's F, and sometimes when the engine is still cold this will happen.
When the car is started back up the fan turns off every time. The dealership
has been unable to trouble shoot as the problem is intermittent. This
started about 1-1/2 years ago. I replace one of the sensors, but that did
not fix it. Anyone have any ideas or have had a simular problem with their
Accord?
TIA

my 90 accord lx 4cyl auto started doing that about 4 months ago. i noticed
it after my radiator hose burst and was replaced. i brought it back to
mechanic and was told there is nothing wrong. i did a search on google at
the time and found a couple of posts about same problem. besides replacing
sensors no other fixes were posted. my mechanic told me not to worry about
it. sorry can't be of more help.
