89 Civic Starting Problems
My 89 Civic developed an intermittent starting problem this week. It will
start and run for a second or so, then dies. It'll repeat this 7 or 8 times
but will not continue to run. Let it sit a few hours and it'll start fine.
This has happened on cold mornings as well as warm afternoons so I don't
think it is temperature related. Any other suggestions?
Thanx!!

I would start by installing a new distributor cap and replace all the
parts that can easily be replaced inside the distributor. I also suggest
that you set the points and set the timing. If that does not solve the
problem, repost and let us know that the problem is not related to the
distributor or distributor parts.
It could also be a carbuator related problem.
