Because the tires on the vehicle I own were purchased from Sears
I just had the services peformed as mentioned for $31CDN which may translate
into about 25 murcan bucks.
I hope you enjoy sex because someone is screwing you big time. Dealers are
for warranty work only in my books.

jazz man,
I've seen the invoice for the job you're describing... Like you said,
not much more is done that your local QuickeeLube joint would do in the
'premium oil change' (beyond rotating the tires).
I've even seen an invoice for a 'lifetime (free) oil change' that has
almost as much stuff on it.
Great little moneymaker for the dealership, in my humble opinion.
P.S. If you _do_ go to the dealer, ignore the owner's manual and tell
them to change the 'dual pump fluid' in the rear diff. Honest. 20,000 mi
is just about right.

Re: 20k service 2003 crv
Dude, you should find another mechanic or do it yourself. It is not that
difficult, anyway.
The manual specifically said that you may have the maintenance done by
any mechanic or yourself, but you should keep a record and all purchase
receipt to support your own record. And this will keep the warranty
valid.
This is not in fine print, but you have to read between lines. The
Honda company does not want to hurt their dealership's feeling,
anyway.
An upside about dealership is that if there is some "internal secret
recalls", the dealership will usually do some "courtesy
replacement/repair" for free. Though chance of this on Honda is pretty
slim. Honda is too good to have problems like this.
