Actually, it is. It's Imperial gallons. Multiply by 0.8 to get U.S.
gallons, which in this case would be about 38.8 mpg(U.S.).

1 Imperial fluid ounce = 28.413 062 5 mililitres = 0.961 U.S. fluid ounce
