out of curisoty, why wouldnt you want drl? they do actually have a purpose.
All canadian vechicles are required to have them as its a safety concern

While I agree with the idea of DRLs, I can cite two very good reasons
against them.
1: The Pilot's headlights turn off when the car is turned off and the
key removed. So just leave the lights on and you have DRLs (Its what I
do on my '04 Pilot and both Saabs we own).
2: If you are at all involved with Astronomy, you know that you should
never have white light while at a dark sky site or star party. When I go
out to observe and if I want to leave before dawn, I would **** off a
lot of people if my headlights came on when I started my car. I could
potentially ruin a lot of people's hours long images, as well as their
night vision. So we use red lights to see by. And we leave either with
no lights or parking lights only.

spend most of their time on freeways. What we call freeways are divided,
limited access roads with no intersections or driveways. DRLs just don't
contribute anything to that. A few of us use highways, the type of roads
that I believe are called freeways up there. These are single strips of
pavement that accommodate traffic both directions, at speeds around 100 kph,
with intersections, side roads and driveways. The long-standing practice has
been to drive on those with lights on day and night - my parents explained
that to me around 1960.

If they do, there is likely a problem with the daylight sensor
located on top of the dash near the windshield. It could also be a
switch malfunction or wiring somewhere. Difficult to diagnose by
