1999 Odyssey -- dead battery or alternator problem?
I went to start my van last week, and the engine almost started, but
then a series of clicks. The power doors did work when I opened them,
but I had to close manually. Tried to jump-start, but battery
wouldn't take a charge. Is this a battery or alternator problem?

Most likely a bad battery. You should still be able to jump it though. Get
jumper cables that are at least 6 gauge or thicker.

After you replace the battery check that the alternator is working. Turn
headlights on and check voltage with the engine running about 1500 rpm.
Output should hold at about 14.5 volts,,,,
