The light output of my 95 civic was poor. I have upgraded the wiring with
HELLA relays according to the (already mentioned) DS's site. The light
output with the stock bulbs was noticeably better. Don't buy blue tinted
bulbs. I now run 100/90W clear bulbs and have no problems with melting
lamps (although I run Narva 60/55W 48881 clear bulbs during the summer).
Light output now is good.
High wattage NARVA 12V 100/90W 48901 / Made in Germany / Not for use in
Europe.
DO NOT run high wattage bulbs on stock wiring.
