05 camry - two problems
First, bear in mind, i'm writing this for a friend, so its not my
car., just trying to help her out
She has a silver )5 camry, bought in late november at the earliest.
1) in an area around the passenger headlight (for the US)a line of
point has come off, with assorted spots of rust there. Is this
repearable under the warentee? I have a picture that i will try and
upload, but the line starts at the leading edge, and goes along the
pannel, parellel to the edge of the headlight above it, with rust
visable only on the trailing edge of the section, and not near the
sharp-edged end where i would expect rust to accumulate first. note as
well, this is Georgia, where there has maybe been 5 rainy days since
the car was bought.
Second, and more important, The airbags are disabled, and have been
since she bought the car. Both the red dash light and the orange
indicator at the top center of the dash says the airbags are disabled.
the car has been back to the dealership twice, for oilchanges (its now
got 13k miles on it) and the dealers say they are mystified.
If anyone could throw some light on these, it would be appreciated. As
it is, she's beginning to regret getting this in place of her 85
deville that she's had for the last 15 years.
