I have a 96 Honda Civic-- i changed plugs and plug wires and now it wont fire up??
It always started in the past. I rechecked the gap on the plugs and the order on the wires and everything seems fine. I've read a lot about main relays going bad but it seems odd that it always started before and now it wont fire. It turns over fine and sounds like it wants to fire up but just wont. Any suggestions???

My buddy has a 2000 honda civic LX and he replaced the parts that you did and had the same problem. The wires have to be in the right order on the distributor and on the head. I know you checked that already but i got it wrong the first time and i have a lot of experience with that stuff. online may not be right. the firing order was 1-3-4-2. 1 is toward the back of the car, 3 is on the top, 4 is toward the front of the car, and 2 is on the bottom. Also the wires should have numbers on them. if they don't then the spark plugs on the top are 1-2-3-4 from left to right. If that doesn't work then i would say change the plugs cause the old wires could have fouled them
