Really depends on what kind of quality you want. You can use spray paint, and get a few years for about $75.
You can find one of those cheapie paint places that will use inferior paint, and will coat it thick for about $250. It will scratch easy, and look like crap in about five years.
Then there will be those value paint and body shops that will do a descent job for around $500-1000k. You might get 10 years out of it.
If you want a like-new paint job, you will be spending $1500-3000k. You will not be repainting your car, unless you wreck it, or get 15 to 25 years on it.
This all is providing you don't need any body work, or painting the inside of the doors, and interior areas of your car (as you would do if you were wanting to change to a whole new color the right way).
