How do you pop out a stock stereo?
I have a 97 Civic EX and im tryn to put in an alpine, I know i need to pop of the black cover but i don't know how to?I talked with my auto tech teacher and he said to there should be 2 screws at the bottom to take out and there were, so i took them out. Then he gave ma a little wedge to pop of the cover but it won't come off.

Take it to a pro. I have seen so many people screw up their car by trying to do something they shouldn't attempt. Everything from fried wiring to broken pieces of the dashboard or console. It isn't that expensive to have it done right.
