I'm thinking about getting a used 4 door sedan Honda Civic EX or LX from either 2003, 2004 or 2005 and am trying to find out a little about certain features before I go looking. Does anyone know if you can open the trunk using the key fob on any of these model years and, if so, which ones and which trim?































I'm also looking for the best safety features...any difference between the LX and EX or the model years for safety (I know some safety features like side airbags are optional, of course)?































Any other major differences in the trims or model years I should take note of (even the small stuff counts!)? I know the sunroof is only on the EX, but, not sure what other things are different.

I have looked at Honda's websites along with other sites showing specs for cars, but, some things they don't show. Like the opening the trunk using the keyfob....it only says it has "remote trunk" which means you can open it from inside the car. I know on the EX's for '06 and beyond you can use the keyfob, but, not sure of older models. Thought maybe someone might actually own one of these models to help me out on that feature. Never hurts to ask!

Love my honda....sold the one I bought new in 1988....20 years old...264,000 miles...still ran great....bought a Honda Accord DX 6 cyl.....that might be the last car I buy.
