I had my car broken into last night. I have an aftermarket alarm system that must be deactivated by remote or else opening the door will set it off, even if you have the key. This morning I found my car with the hood open. The culprit had disconnected the battery to disable the alarm. My question is, did he open the hood to disconnect the battery first or did he someone open the door first and then open the hood? There was no damage to the car. Strangely he/she took only my spare change and airfreshener. The stereo was still there. Can someone explain this please? Thank you.















So would getting a new alarm system be just as vulnerable to the same method (i.e. open hood disconnect battery)?































I have a 94 Civic in the carport in front of my apartment. What else can I do?

hoods are easy to pop...in almost every car, unless you have a hood lock...































hood locks are pretty inexpensive...
