Bad transmissions on 2009 Honda Civics?
After 200 miles the transmission went out on my brand new 2009 Honda Civic. The transmission needs to be replaced and Honda will not exchange this lemon for another new car.
How common is this? Have you heard of bad transmissions on brand new Civics?

Do not look very far for that as a trend do you need to find another car are you like not asking to keep the car. am thought filled with many cars seen, do not get out if you need the car, have been part of so
many manufactories in watching the build and rebuilds stay with it.

your car is not technically a lemon until there is more than one problem and since the transmission is easy to replace and a completely separate unit that's connected to the rest all they do is change it for a new one and you go on your way. its common for there to be a few problems every now and again in a car they are building think of the hundreds of thousands of cars that are made everyday you think they are all going to be perfect? no, that's why there is a warranty when you buy a new car. your new trans will be covered in the warranty as well. your car is NOT a lemon just cause the trans goes out you have to have a series of problems and trans do go bad but that's only one part the transmission in my ford truck was bad and was swapped out by the dealer before it was even sold, there was only 30 miles on the truck when i got it so the trans went out in under 30 miles. sometimes you just get a bad part in a car, but the truck has since gone over 90,000 miles with no problems. Just get your trans change and if problems continue then you may qualify under lemon law to get a new vehicle
