anyone know what the box is left of the air filter on a 01' civic ex?
i cant find it anywhere online or assembly pics, the intske starts around the battery, then moves to this BOX type thing???? then its the filter. I may sound like an idiot but i dont wanna start taking it apart till im sure.

Without seeing a picture I would suppose that it's the resonator chamber. I believe that it cuts down on noise. Here is a link to a diagram of what I think it is:
