1 i bought this car.















idle was lobing. so i replaced idle air controller ( part under the intake manifold) then ran good after some adjusting of the idle.































also found out had rust in gas tank so i dropped it cleaned it out.and reinstalled it. put in gas cleaner.















changed fuel filter.















did engine flush .















changed oil and filter.































ran good for 2 weeks































then started to sometimes backfire at high rpm's like 4 or 5k.































few days later it started to loose power on acceleration (like it was going to cut off) and it would if you dont let off the accelerator.































and now it wont start.















it did once after many tries but died as i tried to accelerate.















and yesterday i tried to start it.to move it and very wierd.















it was like on the edge of cutting off. sounded loke the modle t car. putting. all i can think is maybe 1 or 2 cylinders not firing.































has anyone had this problem before.































what ive diagnosed so far. distributor is good.















i do hear fuel pump as i turn on key















no engine light































could be spark plugs or injectors































i have 2 civics so i have the privilage of some parts being the same.

It might be your head gasket or try a compression test

check compression and it might be the fuel filter aswell. Some of that rust you cleaned off could go through the lines and get caught up in the filter and clog the lines.
