ZC in EG swap info needed

I have a friend who wants to put a dohc zc engine that was in a 91 civic into his 92 civic. Does anyone know whats needed for this swap? He's planning on keeping his tranny, so would the 92 tranny fit bolt up and match the clutch of the 91 zc? and do the engine mounts fit? Also, is it possible to run the zc on the 92 dx computer if the 92's harness is used? Any info would b appreciated. thx

first, he must use his 92 tranny and the flywheel is a good idea too. please tell me he isnt reusing stock clutch? nothing worse than gettin ur new motor in and being all excited only to have the clutch slip like a ****. also, he will need to use his stock motor mounts, driveshafts, alternator, O2 sensor, etc. the stock DX PO6 ECU should run the motor just fine but chipping it is a good idea. He may run into a problem in the distributor wiring.

the doch zc has 2 sensors in the dizzy. and one on the end of the exhaust cam, his old motor has all 3 in the dizzy. his old dizzy will also NOT fit the ZC. he will have to find out which 2 wires that went to the sensor on the cam in the old dizzy need to be run to the cam position sensor on the exhaust cam.

the dohc zc is a good motor, just dont expect too much aftermarket support for it. if I had to guess at a 1/4 mile time (stock motor in stock car) id say 15.8. also, if hes plannin on puttin an aftermarket header on it, it will most likely need to have some grinding done on the header flange to clear the block, ull know what i mean when u go do it. it does use a standard D series header tho.

d series is way better than a zc... zc make a little bit more power but the d series is really cheap on parts
