Where do I enter emissions code on Honda.com? ?
My wife has a 1998 Honda Odyssey van, on which she recently took to have the emissions test performed. A passing grade on the test is required for her to pay the annual ad valorem taxes and get her sticker for the year. She did not pass because the "check engine" light was on. The technician gave her a read-out of the test which included the code "P0420." He then told her to go to Honda.com and enter the code to find out specifically what is making the "check engine" light stay on. I went to the site, signed her up using the VIN number for the vehicle, but have been unable to find anywhere that will allow me to enter that code. Does anyone have any information that will help us solve this mystery? Thanks!

The code you have, P0420, is "Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)"
It could mean that the Catalytic Converter is bad but more than likely it is the O2 Sensor that is bad. Bank 1 should be the sensor that is AFTER the Catalytic Converter.
