What should the tire pressure be in a 2000 Honda CRV?
Help..Not sure what the tire pressure should be in my 2000 Honda CRV. The door jam says cold tire inflation pressure 26 psi..the tire says 44 max. At 26 psi, the tires look flat...
Help! Running on flat tires?

the max on the tires is NOT the value to use.
It is either in the FuelCap cover (a little white sticker)
or us find the details in ur car manual.
26psi sounds ok, and you can add about 3-4psi but not too much, it will lenghten the stop and weaken the grip of the tires.
they may look a bit like flat, compare it to other cars, their tires are also a bit flat due to their own weight.

26 psi is too low, for a 2000 honda crv, you should be running about 32-35 psi... use 32 if you have a light load, and go towards the higher end of 35ish if you plan on putting stuff or people in your car... the 44 max psi is only to be used when you have a really heavy load and plan on maxing out the capacity of the vehicle.
