Acura Integra of about the same year, or if you want to do more chassis and/or drivetrain mods; any Integra or Civic engine and transmission.

B16, D16, ZC, are the most popular. You're gonna get the most horsepower out of the b16 though.

Any b-series or d-series engines will fit into the chasis of your 93 del sol. The easiest and most common swap is the b16; as the vtec coupe came equipped factory with the b16 engine. Brake Horspower is right around 160 and 112 torque.

the most straight forward are b-series engines now for pure *** kicking fun i would go for a h22 (prelude power train) but its a more difficult swap

Whatever you can afford. A Dseries will be a pretty basic swap and you can find almost anywhere. www.hmotorsonline.com The B series will be much more expensive but has alot more stock horsepower. Depending on what you are planning to do to the motor in the way of bolt ons or mods will basically answer this question for yourself. I recommend using the www.honda-tech.com community and forums as well as their search features to determine this for yourself.
